Holiday Wine Glasses Make the Seasons More Festive
Most people decorate for Christmas in an elaborate fashion. Plenty of others also put up decorations for other, less anticipated holidays, and even hold dinner parties for such events as Easter, Mother’s Day, Halloween, and Thanksgiving. Depending on your family traditions, these decorations can bring back wonderful childhood memories and evoke feelings of comfort. For those families who include holiday wine glasses in their celebrations, even the children can develop cherished memories of those treasured drinking vessels, as they’ll always associate them with feelings of security, family, and love (even if they were only allowed to drink grape juice from them!).
Holiday wine glasses can take a variety of forms, according to the celebration being held. For example, Christmas could include glassware etched with decorated trees, snowflakes, snowmen, candy canes, wreaths, Santa Claus, and more. There could be festive red or green bows tied to the stems, and the glass itself may be frosted to evoke a feeling of winter.
Thanksgiving glassware may also be etched with themed drawings, and could include stem decorations in the shapes of seasonal vegetables.
For Halloween, the glass itself may be colored black or orange, and be painted with jack-o-lanterns, witches, cats, ghosts, and more. The possibilities are really endless.
You can even take it a step further and use wine accessories for seasonal decorations. The corks, corkscrews, toppers, and bags that the fruit of the vine comes with all make interesting and attractive decorative choices for any room or table during a festive gathering. If you have enough of any one accessory, you could even give it out as party favors.
Most holiday wine glasses can be purchased online or through specialty catalogs. They’ll also start showing up in the malls a month or two before the appointed holiday comes around. Most of the time, the seasonally themed stemware isn’t too expensive (unless you’re going for something like pure crystal), so you can easily afford to buy enough for a very large gathering. Buying your own is a wonderful way to start a cherished holiday tradition that your family will enjoy for generations to come.
